Welcome to my Olive My Love virtual shop. I put a whole lotta love into my line of artisanal cookies. I make them by hand in very small batches, using a family-favourite classic British Snowball recipe: buttery shortbread loaded with decadent ingredients and dusted with icing sugar. Whenever possible, I use the finest, natural, local ingredients like Stirling Creamery European-Style Churn 84 Butter (artisanally crafted in Stirling, Ontario since 1925). Only the best for my friends.

You can order my cookies freshly baked or as no-frills, frozen slice-n-bake logs to take out of your freezer when you are ready to bake yourself. Save yourself the expense and effort of buying all of the ingredients (that you might not use up) and making the dough (and the mess that goes along with it). Take a log of dough out of your freezer, leave it on the counter for about 30 minutes, then slice and bake (or slice then roll the slices into balls). Fill your kitchen with the comforting fragrance of homemade, freshly baked cookies. If people ask, just tell them you baked them yourself (it’s our secret). No time to slice-n-bake? Frozen logs are 6″ long and make one dozen 1/2″ thick cookies or balls (diameter and thickness of baked cookies varies depending on ingredients). The dough is well-wrapped in plastic wrap and freezer paper and can be stored in your freezer for at least a month (slip the log in a resealable freezer bag for extra protection).

Baked cookies should be removed from the container they were delivered in and placed in an airtight container. For short-term storage, baked  cookies can be refrigerated. For longer storage, baked cookies can be frozen if well wrapped and placed in an airtight container. Store different flavours separately to avoid transferring flavours.

ALLERGY ALERT: Some of my products contain nuts and all of my ingredients may have come into contact with nuts and other ingredients. Best to avoid if you have a food allergy.

Dark Chocolate Chip: $10 per 6” frozen log (makes 12 cookies)

My standard flavour is classic Dark Chocolate Chip – the recipe that started the cookie dough rolling.

Ingredients: Rogers No Additive Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, Ghirardelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate Premium Chips, Stirling Churn 84 Butter, icing sugar, cream, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract. May have come into contact with other ingredients.

Dark Chocolate Skor: $12 per 6” frozen log (makes 12 cookies)

Dark chocolate chips with the added hit of sweet Skor toffee bits.

Ingredients: Rogers No Additive Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, Ghirardelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate Premium Chips, Hershey’s Chipits Skor Toffe Bits, Stirling Churn 84 Butter, icing sugar, cream, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract. May have come into contact with other ingredients.

Milk Chocolate Chestnut: $11 per 6” frozen log (makes 12 cookies)

Creamy milk chocolate with a subtle hint of roasted chestnuts.

Ingredients: Rogers No Additive Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Premium Chips, Stirling Churn 84 Butter, roasted chestnuts, icing sugar, cream, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract. May have come into contact with other ingredients.

EASY BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
Keep frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze unbaked dough.
1.      Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove dough from freezer; unwrap.
2.      After 30 minutes mark dough in ½” intervals and slice.*
3.      Arrange slices, evenly spaced, on a baking sheet.
4.      Bake until just firm and bottom is lightly golden, about 13 minutes (a touch longer for Skor).
5.      Remove from sheet and cool. Sift icing sugar over cookies.
* If dough crumbles while slicing, simply press crumbs back onto slice.
* Slices can be rolled into balls if desired. Bake well-chilled balls until bottom is golden. Roll in icing sugar.
